“Announcement is imminent” – Fabrizio Romano expects new Chelsea signing any moment

Last week, he called the all important ‘here we go’ for a pending new Chelsea signing. Today, he has said that there is an announcement imminent at the club.

Fabrizio Romano, via his latest newsletter today, says Chelsea are about to announce the signing of Wesley Fofana from Leicester City any moment now after agreeing a fee with his club over the weekend.

It’s been one of those transfer sagas and we will all be very pleased to finally see it officially over, and even more so, that he will be ending up as a Chelsea player.

Many of these sagas have just fizzled out or seen the player go elsewhere, so most Chelsea fans are just hanging on to this official announcement before celebrating the signing!

Fofana will arrive for £70m plus add-ons and in the grand scheme of things, seeing as some outlets were saying it would take north of £80m for Leicester to accept the deal, then this isn’t too bad.
