Chelsea have been offered the chance to sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar ahead of the transfer deadline, according to the Daily Mail.

The Ligue One champions are concerned about breaking Financial Fairplay regulations and would be open to selling the Brazilian international:

After The Secret Scout revealed the Blues’ interest in Neymar, the Mail is the first source to back up the claims, and supporters on Twitter are split on whether to believe the speculation:

The rumours about Neymar have been floating around for a fair few months now but, from the sound of things, the player would prefer to stay at PSG if he has a choice.

Even though the 30-year-old is an outstanding footballer, it’s probably wise for Chelsea to avoid a deal if the forward isn’t 100% convinced about joining.

Thomas Tuchel’s side are expected to sign at least one forward before the transfer window closes, with Barcelona’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha the likeliest options.
