Mykhailo Mudryk and Frank Lampard send ‘fantastic’ Chelsea star message as decision proven right
Mykhailo Mudryk and Frank Lampard have heaped praise on Noni Madueke following Chelsea’s 3-1 win over Bournemouth. The 21-year-old winger played an integral role in the Blues’ victory at the Vitality Stadium, proving to be a constant threat down the right-wing .
While Madueke didn’t register a goal or an assist, he was very impressive and injected fresh optimism into the west London side’s attack. The England youth international’s impressive performance follows in the same vein of his display against Arsenal earlier in the week, netting Chelsea’s only goal at the Emirates Stadium.
Madueke has capitalised on his opportunity in the first-team, showing the next Blues manager exactly why he deserves a starring role in the club’s project. And, his showings have not gone under the radar with Mudryk showing his support for the winger on social media.
After the Bournemouth clash, Madueke posted on Instagram to mark the occasion. For his caption he wrote:
“Beauty in knowing that there’s positives but also things that require work. Love to the travelling fans, you guys got us over the line. To God be the glory every time!”
In the comments section, Mudryk wrote: “Boy is cooking.” A number of other Chelsea stars also dropped messages below Madueke’s post, including Raheem Sterling, Conor Gallagher, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Carney Chukwuemeka. Speaking to the club’s YouTube channel after the Cherries tie, Lampard was also very complimentary of the Blues winger. The 44-year-old said:
“Noni was very sharp, considering he was not so well on Wednesday, Thursday. He trained yesterday. “I thought he was really good against Arsenal in a tough game and got his goal. And again today, he’s got a fantastic one-on-one ability to go past people. I like him as a lad, he’s got really good energy. “He will know that because he’s hungry, and I want that. It’s been a breath of fresh air, him coming in, and he’s training well to deserve that.”
Then, on the dynamic between Madueke and Mudryk, Lampard added: “With the wingers, I think with Misha on the other side, Mudryk, he also needs a bit of time to find the league, to develop – his raw talent is there.”
